Jennifer Reeder is an American artist, filmmaker, and screenwriter. Her short film A Million Miles Away was nominated for a Tiger Award for Short Films at the International Film Festival Rotterdam and screened at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival in the U.S. Short Narrative Films category. In 2003, she had a solo screening at Moderna Museet in Stockholm, Sweden.

I’m almost positive I’ve been seeing Candy Corn for a few years now, and I can remember seeing it on the front page IndieGoGo too. So, needless to say, Josh Hasty's love letter to the season of Halloween has been on my radar for quite some time. I got a chance to check it out a few months ago, and it didn't disappoint. 

Looking back, I still can't believe I got to speak with Larisa. I grew up watching her, and she's just one of those interviews that I always thought would be out of my grasp. But thanks to the fine folks over at October Coast, we were brought together, and I couldn't be happier.

If you know me, I've probably recommended the film Cheap Thrills to you at some point in our friendship. But for those that aren't aware, this was my third favorite film of 2014.  That is the same year that Whiplash, Gone Girl, and Boyhood all came out.

It's funny to think that I wasn't a fan of Patrick Lussier's until I heard him on The Movie Crypt podcast. I mean, I wasn't NOT a fan of his either, but it was hearing about his career from the man himself that really sold me on the guy. He worked on Doctor Who, he made his directorial debut with Prophecy 3, and he nearly directed Halloween III, the sequel to Rob Zombie's 2007 reboot of the Halloween franchise.

They say never to judge a book by its cover, but what do they say about a performance? My simple, and probably what I thought was clever, review for the anthology classic Creepshow went something like, "Tom Atkins is kind of a dick." Yeah, I'm hilarious.
