Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey is a 2023 British independent slasher film written, directed, and produced by Rhys Frake-Waterfield. The film retells the Winnie-the-Pooh books in a horror setting, with Craig David Dowsett starring as Pooh and Chris Cordell as Piglet. It follows them as they kill a group of young university women and an adult Christopher Robin when he returns to the Hundred Acre Wood many years later.

With a quick Google search, you’ll find that Roy Damm is loved just as much as he is hated, and while I can agree that Roy is a rather polarizing figure, he isn’t a bad guy. Roy is an underground filmmaker, video archiving activist, and pop culture historian.

Jaime Hill is a Canadian actress and voiceover artist. She’s been featured in multiple films, including Grotesuque and Skinamarink. From what I’ve gathered she and Skinamirnk’s director Kyle Edward Ball became acquainted while working on other projects and because of her style and range she was chosen to portray Mom in the groundbreaking experimental film.

Michelle May is an American actress and singer. She’s been featured in multiple films, most notably Bikini Model Academy and countless Robbie Banfitch projects. From what I’ve gathered she and Robbie are longtime friends and based on her hippie-like mentality as well as her beautiful singing voice she was chosen to take a trip to The Outwaters.

Robbie Banfitch is an American screenwriter, film director, writer, actor, and musician. He attended the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan and currently resides in Los Angeles. He has previously worked for After Dark Films and Greenpeace. His directing credits include The Outwaters, Tinsman Road, and Exvallis. 

Devon Sawa began his acting career in 1992 with a small role in the Canadian television series Unsub. He went on to star in all of the films you love, including Casper, Now and Then, and Wild America. In 2000, Sawa had a leading role in the horror movie Final Destination, which became a commercial success and spawned a franchise of sequels.

Skeet Ulrich's breakthrough role, and probably what I know him from most, was in the 1996 horror movie Scream, directed by Wes Craven, in which he played the character Billy Loomis. He also appeared in other classic movies of the 1990s, including The Craft and As Good as It Gets, but to me, nothing will ever top Scream. In addition to his film work, Ulrich has had several prominent roles on television.

For those that don’t know I worked in a video store when I was younger, and while I would jump between stations, I’d always find a way to recommend films that were unlike the big movies that occupied the most shelf space. One of those films was Session 9, and I never had a disappointed customer! For me, Session 9 is one of those films where people talk about lightning in a bottle, this is what they are referring to.
