There are few go to's when it comes to Halloween for me. Sure, we have the ole' standbys, like Halloween and Hocus Pocus, but what about the stuff that nobody else watches? I'm pretty sure every family has that hidden holiday classic that they don't talk to their neighbors about.

Oddly enough, I think I've seen everything Darren Lynn Bousman has been a part of. It wasn't on purpose, it just kind of happened that way. One weekend, months ago, I decided to struggle through the Saw series.

You've probably heard his voice a million times, and you don't even know his name. Let me be the guy that re-introduces you to THE Canadian treasure that IS Stu Stone. Born Stuart Eisenstein, Stu is a film, television, and voice-over actor as well as a producer of television, film, and music.

He is best known for playing Cedric Daniels in The Wire and Phillip Broyles in Fringe. He is also known for portraying Detective Johnny Basil on Oz and Matthew Abaddon in Lost. Additionally, he provided both the voice and likeness for video game characters Martin Hatch in Quantum Break and Sylens in Horizon Zero Dawn.

Tiffany Shepis has been on my radar for some time. I mean, she's been doing genre flicks since 1996, so how could I not know who she is? I hate to say this though, it wasn't until her incredible performance in Victor Crowley that I took any real notice.

While I've only seen 66 films at this point, 2018 has been the year of ups and downs as far as movies go, but a new feature, Eighth Grade, has helped me assume that the remaining months might still have some treasures hidden away. While I took a break from the theater and focused mostly on television recently, Bo Burnham's opus of adolescence still managed to shine through the barrage of comic book adaptations that paint the bright lights these days. In most of the reviews I've read, Elsie Fisher is praised highly, and because I haven't seen the film, I can't attest to this just yet.

Enter Lyle Blackburn. To many, he looks like just another gun-toting Texan, but in reality, he's THE cryptozoologist to the stars. Lyle has dealt with some of folklore's heaviest hitters including the likes of Bigfoot and The Mothman.
